Vanessa Lazaro doesn’t just see a window; she sees a project lifecycle. A native of West Vancouver and the Westside, Vanessa’s perspective was forged in the refined aesthetics of Kerrisdale and the rugged energy of the North Shore. With a background that blends an Art Degree with Administration and Logistics at BCIT and Capilano College, Vanessa offers a level of professional expertise that is rare in the British Columbia design landscape.

The Professional Pedigree
Vanessa’s career began in high-stakes corporate environments, managing HR and administrative infrastructure at Gardner, Ganapathi, & Ashcroft and Concord Pacific. As an Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the partners at Baker McGarva Hart, she developed the meticulous attention to detail and contract proficiency that now defines her commercial work.
For 20 years, Vanessa was a cornerstone of Supa Distribution. Working alongside founder Peter Sullivan, she rose from Sales to Head of Operations and Logistics. This era turned Vanessa into a master of supply chain management—a skill she now uses to ensure Brilliant Blinds projects move seamlessly from the factory to the finish line.
The West Coast Life: Family, Surf & Soccer
At the heart of Vanessa’s drive is her family. She has been with her husband, Geoff Andruik, for 28 years—a partnership built on shared adventure. In 2004, they celebrated their wedding in Mexico in true West Coast style: Vanessa spent the morning surfing the breaks and the afternoon saying “I do” surrounded by close friends and family.
Today, they are proud parents to an 18-year-old son and a 16-year-old daughter. Whether she is coaching North Shore girls’ soccer, competing in a women’s league, snowboarding, walking her dog Sterling, or hitting the golf course, Vanessa’s competitive spirit and dedication to her community are what drive her “never-settle” professional standard.

After a decade leading operations and sales for a major franchise in North and West Vancouver, Vanessa realized the “franchise pyramid” was a dated model. She founded Brilliant Blinds to work directly with Graber (Springs Window Fashions), the North American leader in technical window treatments. By cutting out the middleman, she provides her luxury and commercial clients with:
